Regarding Weise....sometimes it takes a guy a bit to get comfortable...he has definitely not looked like the disrupter they signed....but it's only 30 or so games in and their winning. I'm hoping he gets it going in the second half.

I always hope the "best" for a Flyer player, but Weise has been a big disappointment.
The 4 year contact will seem even longer if this is what we get. I know Roussel is a
Asshat but I thought that was the type of player Weise used to be. He has to be more of a pest to bring some value. You hardly hear his name during the broadcast

Agreed With Read and Couturier due back after Christmas Wiese will be in the popcorn suite if he doesn't pick his game up. Wouldn't be a big deal, but as you mentioned a 4 year contract...

He would definitely be my first pick to sit....unless he really starts show why he deserved that 4 year deal. No way in hell Lyubimov should come out of lineup once they return... So it looks like it could be Mr Weise.

The first guy to sit will be Leier/Gordon, that's a no brainer.

I agree with you guys, I think the next guy to sit should be Weise, however, knowing Hak, my gut feeling is that it will be Cousins.

Just gotta hope that at some point, Weise finds a comfort zone, elevates his play

Hated that deal, especially the term. Said it at the time, because he was a function of his linemates in Vancouver and Montreal and was brutal in this role for the Blackhawks when he got traded there last season

But, at the same time, I will say this: He has proven that he can score goals with talented linemates -- I know, that isn't exactly glowing praise, but not everyone can play with skill guys and then produce.

So, say, if Simmonds gets hurt, Weise has shown that he can do some of those things -- again, not nearly as well. I'm not saying that. But if Simmonds does get hurt, Weise could conceivably move up and fill that role for a stretch with skilled players.

And, again: We can be positive during this win streak. They're only going to get better over the rest of the season and next year, could seriously be a top-flight contender by the end of next year. We can enjoy this ride for now

Simmonds can't waste his time with a scrub like Roussell, instead let Weise do something useful and take a shot at that piece of crap. The frustrating thing is that Roussell will probably just turtle and try to draw a penalty, it's his typical M.O.

Best thing to do is ignore him, let him get frustrated and take a penalty, then score on the pp. Maybe Cousins can get under his skin.
